Tom Schoeniger is an experienced prototype engineer specializing in mechanical design and prototyping for product development. Currently serving as Principal Prototype Engineer at Sonos, Inc. since November 2015, Tom supports cross-company prototyping efforts and has a history of building advanced prototyping facilities across multiple global locations. Prior roles include Mechanical Lead and Mechanical Lab Manager at Sonos, Prototype Lab Manager at Quirky, and Prototype Machinist/Model Maker at PCH Lime Lab. Tom’s background also includes entrepreneurship as the owner of Forty One Thirty, where high-end custom steel bicycles were crafted, and teaching positions at the Academy of Art University and California College of Art. Tom holds a BAIA in Product Design from San Francisco State University.
