Barbra Timmer

Senior Scientist

Barbra Timmer is a Senior Lecturer and Teaching and Research Academic at The University of Queensland, specializing in Audiology within the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences. With extensive experience in the field, Barbra has held multiple roles including Adjunct Senior Research Fellow and Tutor/Clinical Educator, and has served as President and Board Director of Audiology Australia ® since November 2018. Prior to current positions, Barbra worked at Phonak for a decade in various roles including Senior Scientist and Global Director of Audiology and Education, and also held management positions at Phonak Pty Ltd, ReSound, and VU University Medical Centre. Barbra holds a Ph.D. from The University of Queensland and has completed further education at Harvard Medical School and Sydney Graduate School of Management, enhancing expertise in clinical research and marketing.
