Laurent Simon is a highly experienced hearing performance engineer at Sonova Group since May 2021, specializing in the evaluation and optimization of hearing devices in complex 3-D environments. Prior to this role, Laurent was a postdoctoral research scientist at UniversitätsSpital Zürich from January 2017 to July 2021. Previous positions include postdoctoral researcher at LIMSI, where involvement in the BiLi project focused on individualisation methods for Head-Related Transfer Functions, and research at Inria on audio source separation and perceptual evaluation of audio processing. Laurent also served as a teacher and supervisor at ESRA in sound engineering. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Psychoacoustics from the University of Surrey and two master's degrees focused on acoustics and electronics.
