Ian C. is an accomplished entrepreneur and investor with extensive experience in consulting and investment management. As the Founder, Director, President, and CEO of Daruma Consulting since 2001, Ian has focused on aiding early-stage companies in Atlantic Canada with strategy, capital fundraising, and sales. Additionally, Ian operates as a Fly Fishing Guide at Country Haven Miramichi and as the Owner/Operator and Fly Tyer at Rocky Brook Fly Shop, where custom hand-tied Atlantic Salmon Flies are produced. Ian holds private investor roles at Sonrai Security and Gia, both innovative companies in their respective fields. Ian's governance experience includes positions on the Board of Directors for Atlantic Lottery and Nova Scotia Gaming Corporation, as well as serving on the Board of Governors for NSCC. Ian was previously an Advisory Partner at EY and has received advanced education in cybersecurity and risk management from Harvard University and Carnegie Mellon University, building on a foundational engineering education from Dalhousie University and Acadia University.
