Megan McCarthy

Megan McCarthy currently serves as Senior Counsel and Director at Sony Electronics, overseeing litigation matters across the United States and Canada since March 2019. Prior experience includes roles at McCarthy IP, where responsibilities involved negotiating and drafting contracts for technology and consumer product companies, and at Petco as a Contract Attorney. Earlier, McCarthy worked as an Associate at Procopio, Cory, Hargreaves & Savitch LLP, focusing on trademark, patent, copyright, and contract litigation, and at DLA Piper LLP, concentrating on intellectual property and patent litigation in federal courts. McCarthy began a legal career as a Legal Advisor for Outside the Lens and held a Supervising Attorney position at the Legal Aid Society of San Diego. Educational qualifications include a Juris Doctor from the University of San Diego School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in American Literature and Culture from UCLA.
