Shaka Johnson

Shaka Johnson is a seasoned legal professional currently serving as Senior Vice President, General Counsel & Secretary at Sony Electronics since October 2018, where responsibilities include overseeing all Legal Group functions for the electronics business in the US and Canada. Previously, Shaka held various prominent roles, including Vice President, Associate General Counsel at Sony Electronics, and Associate General Counsel, AR/VR at Facebook, leading legal teams in sales and marketing across multiple sectors such as retail, ecommerce, and corporate communications. Earlier career experiences include serving as Associate General Counsel at Oculus VR, Corporate Counsel at Sanyo North America Corporation and Gateway, Inc., and as a litigation attorney at Higgs Fletcher & Mack. Shaka received a JD from the University of San Diego School of Law and holds a BS in Business Administration from Sonoma State University.
