The Sooner Club is the cornerstone of OU Athletics. As a member, you can experience once-in-a-lifetime experiences with your family or business clients while making a direct impact on future generations of Sooners. 

Founded in 1992, the Sooner Club was formed to offset the educational expenses (tuition, fees, room, board, books) of over 600 student-athletes who receive financial assistance to attend OU and represent the university in intercollegiate competition. Its members are friends, alumni, and advocates of the university who recognize the value of intercollegiate athletics'​ impact on all members of the university community. In addition, Sooner Club donations help ensure OU’s tradition of excellence continues to grow by investing in facility upgrades and academic resources for all of our athletics programs. Each Sooner Club member is impactful to the student-athlete experience for all athletic programs.

The Donor Engagement team at Sooner Club is dedicated to fostering and maintaining relationships with donors to enhance their engagement and support for OU Athletics. They are responsible for creating unique experiences and communications that demonstrate the impact of donor contributions, coordinating premium services, and managing significant giving initiatives to sustain and elevate the programs' excellence. This team plays a crucial role in ensuring that donors feel connected and valued, thereby securing ongoing financial support for student-athlete education and athletic excellence.

The Leadership Team at the Sooner Club oversees strategic initiatives and fundraising efforts to support over 600 student-athletes at the University of Oklahoma. Comprised of key figures such as the Vice President and Athletics Director, Associate Director of Principal Gifts, and Director of Principal Giving for the DFW Region, this team drives the organization’s mission by securing major donations, enhancing academic resources, and investing in facility upgrades to ensure the continued excellence of OU Athletics programs.
