Steven Berman

Steven Berman is a Senior Software Engineer at Sophos, where expertise is applied to the development and support of the Sophos XGS Firewall product line since August 2017. With a robust background in engineering consulting through SMB Engineering, Steven offers live audio services and architectural acoustics since January 1998. Prior to Sophos, an extensive career at IBM spanned from June 1999 to August 2017, focusing on the IBM General Parallel File System in High Performance Computing and contributing to various storage products. Earlier experiences include roles at Transarc and Carnegie Mellon University, where software engineering and technical support were key responsibilities. Steven holds both a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, obtained between 1984 and 1991.
