Rohan Murty has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Rohan started their career as a programmer at Cornell Theory Center in 2001 and worked there until 2005. During this time, they also completed two research fellowships at Caltech in 2003 and 2004. After that, they had internships at Microsoft Research in 2005, 2006, and 2008. In 2011, they became a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) before joining Harvard University as a Junior Fellow in 2012. Rohan held this position until 2015. In 2014, they founded Soroco and became its Founder and CTO.

Rohan Murty obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Science from Harvard University, starting in 2005 and completing their degree in 2011. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Science from Cornell University, studying from 2001 to 2005. Rohan'ssecondary education was completed at Bishop Cotton Boys' School in Bangalore, where they attended high school from 1989 to 2001.
