Rob Heath

Rob Heath has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Rob began their career as a Financial Controller at International Sportsworld Communicators, where they managed financial operations and facilitated the sale of the business. Rob then worked as the Chief Operating Officer at the Foundation for Professional Development, overseeing finance, IT, HR, and new business operations. During this time, they secured funding and sought investments in various ventures.

In 2005, Rob ventured into entrepreneurship and advisory work, providing executive and financial expertise to SMEs, owner-managed businesses, and VC/private equity firms across Africa, the USA, and the UK. Rob specialized in consumer engagement, trend identification, urban mobility, financial inclusion, and related technologies.

Throughout their career, Rob held multiple non-executive director positions at companies such as HAVAÍC, Tanda, Taz Technologies Ltd, and Sortd Inc. Currently, they are a Non-Executive Director at FinAccess and a Board Observer at CrowdForce.

Rob Heath attended Grey High School from 1983 to 1994. Rob then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science (honours) degree in Finance at the University of Cape Town from 1996 to 1999. Following that, Rob obtained a Master of Commerce degree in Education and Financial Accounting from the University of Cape Town, completing their studies in 2004. In addition to their formal education, Rob also obtained certification as a Chartered Accountant (South Africa) from SAICA CA(SA) in December 2004.
