Simon Shaw

Simon Shaw is a seasoned art expert currently serving as Senior Vice President and Head of Impressionist & Modern Art at Sotheby's New York since July 2006. Previously, Simon held the position of Head of Impressionist & Modern Art and Senior Director at the same firm. Simon's career at Sotheby’s began in Paris in September 2001 as Director of Impressionist & Modern Art, following a tenure as Director in Stockholm from October 1999 to September 2000. Simon also specialized in 19th Century Paintings in Paris from September 1997 to February 1999. Academic credentials include a Master’s degree in 18th Century French & British Art from The Courtauld Institute of Art and a Bachelor’s degree in English and Art History from the University of York.
