Sotol Romo is an ultra-premium expression of sotol, rooted in family heritage and defined as Northern Mexican modern luxury—refined, authentic, and deeply connected to place.

The Romo family has been connected to sotol production in Chihuahua for generations. Sotol Romo is founded by Claudia Romo Edelman, bringing together deep cultural roots with global brand-building experience.

Sotol Romo is made 100% from Dasylirion, specifically 100% Dasylirion cedrosanum, and bottled as Sotol 100% Puro. It is additive-free, organic by nature, artisanal, and produced with a strong commitment to sustainability and responsible sourcing.

The spirit’s profile was perfected in collaboration with Richard Betts, one of the most respected figures in modern Mexican spirits, and is supported by the operational, distribution, and market infrastructure of Casa Komos Brands Group (CKBG).

In the glass, Sotol Romo is clean, dry, elegant, and precise, with herbal and mineral notes and no excess sweetness. It reflects patience and refinement—like a diamond formed over time under pressure, the result of slow growth and resilience.

Sotol Romo also carries a broader mission: to bring sotol to the world with integrity, to grow the category responsibly, and to help create opportunity and prosperity in northern Mexico, much as tequila and mezcal have done for the south— but guided by lessons learned and avoiding the costs of unchecked expansion.
