Don B.

Don B. serves as the Director of Transportation Safety & Security at Sound Transit, overseeing safety and security hazard management for a multi-modal transit agency since March 2024. Previously, Don held various leadership roles at Community Transit, most notably as Deputy Director and Chief Safety Officer, where strategic safety, security, and sustainability programs were developed and implemented. Don's extensive background includes managing security and emergency management initiatives, conducting civil and criminal investigations, and collaborating with law enforcement. Military experience as a Combat Engineer in the Washington Army National Guard complements a strong academic foundation, including a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management from Western Governors University and multiple certificates from the University of Washington.
