Eric Widstrand

Eric Widstrand is an experienced transportation engineering professional with a robust background in traffic management and multimodal transportation solutions. Currently serving as the Director of HCT Corridor Development at Sound Transit since February 2022, Eric oversees the evaluation and design of the North Link Light Rail extension from Lynnwood to Everett, WA. Prior roles include Northwest Region Traffic Engineering Director at Toole Design Group, City Traffic Engineer for the City of Long Beach, and Vice President at Michael Baker International, where Eric focused on developing strategies for active transportation. Eric's extensive career also includes significant positions at Sam Schwartz, the City of Seattle, and David Evans and Associates, where project management and collaboration with public and private sectors were emphasized. A graduate of the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with a B.S. in Civil Engineering, Eric has contributed to various complex transportation projects aimed at enhancing urban mobility.
