John Evans

John Evans, AICP, serves as the High Capacity Transit Development Manager at Sound Transit since November 2015, previously holding the position of Project Manager for Light Rail. Prior experience includes directing the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project at Lane Transit District from August 2009 to November 2015 and managing the Oregon Big Look initiative at the Oregon Department of Land Conservation and Development from March 2007 to August 2009. As a Senior Planner and Project Manager at Parametrix from October 2002 to February 2007, John oversaw significant transportation and land use projects in Oregon and Washington. John also co-owned Downtown Restoration LLC, overseeing redevelopment projects from September 1998 to December 2003, and worked as a Community Development Planner at the Oregon Cascades West Council of Governments from October 1995 to November 1999. Earlier experience includes project management at Environmental Science Associates, focusing on land use and transportation compliance. John holds a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies with a focus on Planning and Public Policy from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
