Sound Transit
Wit Ekman, PMP, CCP, currently serves as the Deputy Director of the Bus Rapid Transit Program at Sound Transit, overseeing program management functions for the STRIDE initiative, which includes 46 miles of routes and 23 stations serving 12 cities. Wit has held various roles at Sound Transit since 2003, progressing from Project Controls Specialist to Manager of Project Controls. In addition to this, Wit is the Vice President of Education for Toastmasters International Club Sound Speakers and a Facility Care Volunteer at PAWS. Wit contributes to AACE International as a board member in the Seattle Section and has previous consulting experience with Faithful+Gould, supporting Oil & Gas projects. Wit holds a Master’s degree in Construction Management from the University of Washington and a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering Management from Oregon State University.
