Amaka Obaze

Amaka Obaze is an experienced professional in social media and content strategy, currently serving as the Director of Social and Content at SoundCloud since March 2022. Prior to this role, Amaka worked as a Creative Consultant at Capitol Records and served as Director of Community at MOCEAN. With a background at Bleacher Report and New York Magazine, Amaka has held various leadership positions in social media, including Assistant Managing Editor for Social Moments. Other significant roles include Digital and Social Media Marketing Lead at Women in Sports & Events and Associate Manager at ESPN, along with experience at the National Basketball Association and The Madison Square Garden Company. Amaka holds a Master’s Degree in Sport Media from New York University and a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management and Business from St. John's University, complemented by a certification in Product and Project Management from General Assembly.
