Erik Bartels

Erik Bartels is an experienced data and systems engineer with an extensive background in technology and engineering roles. Currently serving as a Senior Data Engineer at SoundCloud since August 2010, Erik has previously held positions such as Senior Systems Engineer and Senior Systems Engineer-Consultant. Prior experience includes a role as a Senior Systems Programmer at Apple and multiple consulting positions focusing on systems engineering for notable companies including Radar Networks, Video Egg, and Kodakgallery. Erik’s career began as a Senior Unix Systems Administrator across various divisions of Kodak, where foundational expertise in systems administration was developed. In addition to technical skills, Erik has gained hands-on experience in snow safety and first aid as a Ski Patrol member at Kirkwood.
