Johnie Floater has a diverse and extensive work experience in various industries. johnie started their career as Business & Subscription Manager at KCRW NPR Los Angeles in 1980, where they played a key role in the station's subscription drives and corporate sponsorship endeavors. johnie also had a hand in the launch of the station's first satellite syndication offerings.

In 1985, Johnie joined Radio Express as VP and GM, overseeing the international program syndication arm of ABC Radio and handling global sales representation for other broadcast companies. johnie contributed to program development and sales in over 50 countries.

Moving on to Eagle River Interactive in 1994, Johnie served as VP of Acquisitions & Alliances. johnie then joined COMMUNIVERSE in 1996 as VP of Sales and Marketing. In 1999, they became VP of Incubation at Rare Medium Group, where they managed over $100 million in portfolio investments and analyzed investment opportunities.

Johnie also played a significant role at The Digital Media Association (DiMA) as a Board Member from 2006 to 2011. johnie'sinvolvement included participation in music licensing negotiations and efforts in passing legislative acts related to webcasting and internet radio.

johnie then served as General Manager at Live365, Inc from 2004 to 2013. During this time, Johnie held key managerial responsibilities.

Johnie's career also include roles at ManyMedias as Principal, where they focused on business development, infrastructure, and processes for newcos and organizations in various industries. johnie worked on strategic plans, mission statements, financials, and management of copyrights and legal agreements. Prior to that, they worked at Paso Center for the Performing Arts, where they conducted a viability study for a new performing arts center in Central California.

Most recently, Johnie joined SoundStack as Chief of Staff and previously held the role of Chief of Simple.

Johnie Floater received a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree with a major in Mathematics & Psychology from Aquinas College - Grand Rapids, which they attended from 1971 to 1973. johnie then pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree at the UCLA Anderson School of Management from 1980 to 1982, focusing on Non Profit Arts Management and Entrepreneurial Business. Prior to that, in 1968, they studied Radio and Television Broadcasting Technology/Technician at Michigan State University.
