Mihai Ciurea

Mihai Ciurea has a diverse work experience spanning over 18 years. Mihai is currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer at SoundStack since May 2023. Prior to this, Mihai worked as the Director of Engineering at Toptal from June 2022 to May 2023.

Before joining Toptal, Mihai held various positions at AdsWizz from 2013 to 2022. Mihai initially started as a Senior C++ Developer in May 2013 and later became the Head of Streaming & SDK Technologies. During their tenure, they led development teams, managed projects, and played a crucial role in the implementation of the AdsWizz Streaming server with HLS support. Mihai also contributed to QA automation and code review processes.

Mihai's career began at Stefanini in October 2011, where they worked as a Senior C++ Developer until May 2013. Mihai'sresponsibilities included C++ development and bug fixing.

Prior to that, Mihai worked at Axigen Messaging as a Software Developer from January 2006 to December 2011. Here, they were involved in C++ development for the Axigen Mail Server product, which included tasks such as implementing different protocols, performance optimization, and reporting engine development.

Before entering the professional world, Mihai co-founded Byte Control in May 2003. The company focused on producing and distributing software, providing computer maintenance services, and web design.
