Michelle Sendowski has a diverse work experience. In 2011, they were a Secondary Social Studies Teacher for Mastery Charter Schools. In 2008, they were a Resident Assistant for the Residential and Student Services Program at UC Berkeley. In 2009, they were the Dean of Students Liaison and Chief of Staff for the Office of the President at UC Berkeley. In 2011, they were a 2011 Corps Member for Teach For America. In 2014, they were an Admission Counselor, Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admissions, and Senior Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admission at Stanford University. In 2018, they were a Dialogue Facilitator for Seeds of Peace and a Research Analyst for UCLA BRAID Research. In 2017, they were a Co-Founder of Souper Products LLC.

Michelle Sendowski has a diverse educational background, beginning with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and American Studies with a concentration in Organizations in the Workplace from the University of California, Berkeley, which they completed in 2011. Michelle then went on to obtain a Masters of Science in Education from the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education in 2013. Following this, they returned to UCLA School of Education and Information Studies to pursue a Master's Degree in Higher Education and Organizational Change (HEOC), which they completed in 2014. Finally, they are currently in the process of obtaining a Doctor of Philosophy in Higher Education and Organizational Change (HEOC) from UCLA School of Education and Information Studies, which they expect to complete in 2022.
