Sven van Dam has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Sven is currently working as a Lead Software Engineer at Source.ag since July 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Kaizo as a Tech Lead from June 2021 to June 2022, and also as a Software Engineer from April 2021 to June 2022.

Sven has also worked at KLM as a Software Engineer from September 2018 to March 2021. Sven designed and built a framework for serving machine learning models, built a real-time insights web application, and maintained a streaming data platform using technologies such as Scala, Akka, Kafka, and Kubernetes.

Before joining KLM, Sven worked at Xomnia as a Trainee Data Engineering from August 2018 to September 2019. Sven gained experience in data engineering during this role.

Sven also worked as a Junior Data Scientist at Quantillion, powered by DPA, from September 2017 to May 2018. Sven'sresponsibilities included building REST APIs, text mining, machine learning, and dashboarding using Python, Postgres, Tableau, and Sklearn.

Sven's early work experience includes being a Student Employee at Big Data Alliance, where they assisted in improving the collaboration platform between academia and the industry focused on Big Data in the Netherlands. Sven also worked as a Congiérge at Hotel Seven one Seven from September 2014 to June 2016.

In addition to their professional experience, Sven has served as a Board Member and Treasurer at Study Association VSAE from February 2015 to February 2016, where they managed the finances and coordinated different committees.

Sven van Dam has a diverse educational background. Sven started their education at Stedelijk Gymnasium Haarlem, where they completed their VWO (Gymnasium) degree with a focus on NT/NG. After completing their secondary education, Sven went on to attend the University of Amsterdam.

At the University of Amsterdam, Sven enrolled in a Bachelor program in Econometrics & Operational Research. Sven pursued this degree from 2013 to 2017. During this time, they also obtained additional certifications in English proficiency from the University of Cambridge. In 2010, they obtained the Cambridge English: First (FCE) certification, and in 2012, they obtained the Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) certification.

Furthering their education, Sven pursued a Master's degree in Econometrics at the University of Amsterdam. Sven studied in the Master's program from 2017 to 2018. Additionally, Sven engaged in a minor in Programming at the University of Amsterdam in 2017.
