Sam Thurman

Sam Thurman has been working in the data & analytics field since 2021, when they began their role as Customer Solutions Manager at Source Medium. In this role, they have a deep understanding of the product and data model, and uses this expertise to educate customers. Prior to this, they were the Creative Director at Beautifully Brokn Productions from 2017-2020. During this time, they also worked as a Freelance Data Science / Software Engineer, helping teams and individuals check projects off their to-do lists. From 2020-2021, Sam was a Data Science Fellow at Flatiron School, where they worked on projects such as SignBot, a computer vision and deep learning project to interpret ASL from live video, and a MovieLens recommender system using collaborative and content-based filtering. Finally, from 2017-2020 Sam was an Artist and Event Promotion Intern at HOFisbetter.

Sam Thurman has a Certificate in Data Science from the Flatiron School, which they completed in 2020. Sam also has a Certificate in Software Engineering from Code Fellows, which they obtained in 2020. In addition, they have obtained certifications from freeCodeCamp in JavaScript Algorithms and Data Structures (November 2020), HackerRank in Problem Solving (Basic) (July 2020), and HackerRank in Python (Basic) (July 2020).
