Findlay McCarthy

Findlay McCarthy is an experienced editorial professional currently serving as an Assistant Editor and formerly as an Editorial Assistant at Sourcebooks since January 2020. Prior experience includes working as a Bookseller at Seminary Co-op Bookstore and as a Barista at Starbucks, where community building and problem-solving were central responsibilities. At Knox College, Findlay held positions as a Fiction Editor for both Catch and Cellar Door, managing submissions and providing constructive feedback to writers. Additionally, Findlay achieved Mastery Level tutor certification as a Writing Tutor at the Center for Teaching and Learning and co-founded Bluebrick Collective, overseeing a pilot program focused on artistic workshops. Findlay’s early experience includes leading a Summer Science Camp at The Morton Arboretum. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing from Knox College and completion of the Publishing Institute at the University of Denver.
