Karl Clement has a diverse background in technology and entrepreneurship, currently serving as a Forward Deployed Engineer at Sourcegraph since February 2025. Previously, Karl co-founded and held technical leadership roles at Squire AI and EchoLayer, focusing on algorithm development and user interfaces while managing marketing efforts. Karl also co-founded Feathery, where responsibilities included the creation of scraping and caching algorithms, and Dignified, delivering custom software products for prominent firms. As VP of Engineering at CoVenture, oversight of engineering resources and architecture development for portfolio companies were key responsibilities. Additional experience includes API development at Workshop X and growth strategy at PopKey.
