Alec Shub

Alec Shub has an extensive background in data analysis and climate science, holding a Master of Science in Oceanography from the University of Connecticut. They have served in roles such as Lead Data Analyst at Sourcemap, where they led a data analytics team utilizing SQL and PySpark, and as a NOAA Sea Grant John A. Knauss Fellow in the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration. Alec's prior experience includes positions as a Graduate Research Assistant and a Resource Assistant at the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection, focusing on climate resilience and data-driven strategies. Additionally, they have contributed to significant publications in paleoceanography and worked collaboratively with international environmental agencies to enhance climate adaptation efforts.
