Kadeem Walsh

Kadeem Walsh has been working in the software engineering field for about seven years. Kadeem started their career as a research associate at New York University, where they investigated the binding of XPC protein to DNA using electrophoretic mobility shift assay. Kadeem then transitioned to working as a senior software engineer at 7 Chord. There, they lead the development of a Microsoft Excel plugin that allows users to query for and stream company generated data to their Microsoft Excel spreadsheet in real time. Kadeem also lead an effort to containerize the code base in order to facilitate faster development cycles. In addition, they revamped the company website from scratch by transitioning from WordPress to ReactJS and enhanced the company web app’s user interface by integrating ChartIQ, a charting package that plots company generated time series data on the UI in real time.

Kadeem Walsh studied chemistry at New York University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree. Kadeem then went on to study web development at the Firehose Project.
