Simon Baker

Simon Baker currently serves as the Head of Architecture at South Pole, a position held since February 2023, where leadership is provided to a team of over 1,000 members across 22 countries, focusing on achieving a low-carbon reality. Prior to this role, Baker was the Head of Enterprise Architecture at Currys plc from September 2018 to February 2023 and held the role of Principal Architect at House of Fraser from February 2017 to September 2018, overseeing various aspects of supply chain, workplace, integration, infrastructure, data, and security architecture. Baker's extensive experience in architecture began at John Lewis & Partners, where tenure lasted from 1998 to 2017 with progressive roles including Lead Solutions Architect, Lead Supply Chain Architect, and E-Commerce Architect responsible for replatforming johnlewis.com. Academically, Baker earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Oxford and a Master of Science in Computer Science from Cardiff University.
