Ben Baker

Ben Baker is an experienced finance professional with a strong focus on corporate finance and investor relations. Currently serving as Vice President of Investor Relations at South32 since September 2019, Ben has held multiple related roles that include managing stakeholder engagement and the preparation of key disclosure materials. In addition, Ben led a climate change project, developing the company's approach to emissions reduction and public disclosure. Previous roles include Director of M&A Advisory at Deloitte and Director of Corporate Finance at Somers and Partners, with extensive background in investment banking at GMP Securities and Euroz Securities Limited. Ben holds a Graduate Diploma of Applied Corporate Governance from the Governance Institute of Australia, a Graduate Diploma of Chartered Accounting from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia, and a Double Degree in Commerce and Economics from The University of Western Australia.
