Mark Steele

Mark Steele is an experienced construction professional with a strong background in coordinating and managing construction activities across various mining operations. Currently serving as a Production Coordinator at South32 since May 2015, Mark has contributed to the successful commencement of construction seasons at the BRDA Tailings Facility. Prior experience includes roles as a Construction Specialist at BHP Billiton and as a Construction Superintendent at Atlas Iron Limited, where Mark oversaw mine site activities, managed personnel, and led significant projects such as the Mt Webber Iron Ore development. Mark’s career with BHP Billiton spanned over 13 years, during which responsibilities included managing construction contracts and ensuring compliance with safety standards for large-scale tailings facility projects. Mark holds a Diploma in Construction Management and a Certificate IV in Projects.
