Michael Demott

Michael DeMott is an experienced procurement and supply chain professional with a strong background in project procurement and contract management. Currently serving as Manager of Project Procurement & Contracts at South32 since March 2020, DeMott previously held the position of Materials Manager at CMOC, where responsibilities included managing supply chain departments in the DRC and optimizing strategies for procurement and contract services. DeMott's career also includes significant roles at Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold Inc., progressing from Buyer to Purchasing Manager, with extensive experience in managing procurement operations across Johannesburg and the DRC. DeMott holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Logistics, Materials, and Supply Chain Management from the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University.
