Pat Risner has over 25 years of work experience in the mining industry. Currently, they are the President of the Hermosa Project at South32, where they are leading the development of a potential next-generation mine. Prior to that, they held various roles at BHP, including Group HSE Officer and Asset President for a surface and underground coal mine in New Mexico. Some of their other positions at BHP included General Manager of Navajo Mine, Head of Projects for BHP Billiton New Mexico Coal, and Production Manager. They also have experience in project management, environmental management, and various production and planning operational roles.
Pat Risner attended Missouri University of Science and Technology from 1988 to 1993, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Mining and Mineral Engineering.
