Patrick Ashforth is an experienced professional in digital communications and political campaign management. Currently serving as Principal Digital at South32 since December 2022, Patrick previously held the role of Digital Communications Advisor at Chevron Australia from December 2021 to December 2022. From April 2017 to November 2021, Patrick worked in the Office of Mark McGowan as Digital Manager and Digital Engagement Adviser, significantly growing the Premier's digital audience and engagement. As Digital Campaign Director for WA Labor from June 2012 to April 2017, Patrick led digital strategies during two State Elections, overseeing social media, graphic design, and fundraising efforts. Earlier roles included President of WA Young Labor and an Admin/Fundraising position at WA Labor. Patrick’s career began as an Electorate Officer at the Department of the Premier and Cabinet of WA. Patrick holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Political Science and Communication Studies from the University of Western Australia.
