Rob Newman is a Principal Solution Architect at South32, focused on ERP and the transition to S/4HANA since relocating to Australia in September 2021. With extensive experience in implementing and overseeing ERP solutions, Rob previously served as Lead Solution Architecture for S/4 HANA implementation and as Functional and Technical Lead for the refresh of legacy SAP systems. Prior to South32, Rob held various positions at BHP Billiton Hillside Aluminium, including Manager Information Management, where responsibilities included managing IT operations and engaging with corporate IT initiatives. Rob holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management, an MSc in Agricultural Economics, and a BSc in Agricultural Economics & Economics from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, along with a Matric Certificate in Science from Krugersdorp High School.
