Steve Brown

Steve Brown is a seasoned professional in project management with extensive experience in the mining and energy sector. Currently serving as Project Director at South32, Steve oversees significant projects such as the Khutala and Klipspruit Life Extension Projects. With a career spanning over three decades, previous roles include Senior Manager of Project Delivery and Acting Group Manager Projects at South32, where significant projects were successfully delivered on budget and schedule. Prior experience includes key positions at BHP Billiton, such as Project Director for a US$1 billion brownfields coal mining project and Mine Manager for Wolvekrans Opencast. Steve holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Strathclyde.
