David Batson

David Batson is an experienced professional in athletics compliance and administration, currently serving as Assistant Commissioner for the Southeastern Conference since August 2018. Prior to this role, Batson spent nearly two decades at Texas A&M University, holding positions as Senior Associate Athletic Director for Athletics Compliance and Director of Athletics Compliance. Earlier career experience includes serving as a Membership Services Representative for the NCAA and Athletic Compliance Education Coordinator at Texas A&M University, as well as working as a Certification Specialist at Stephen F. David Batson holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Sam Houston State University, along with a High School Diploma from Angleton High School.
