Chris Bitner

Chris Bitner has extensive experience in the field of information security, holding various leadership roles throughout their career. Chris is currently the Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer at Southeastern Grocers since 2022. Previously, they served as the Vice President and Global Chief Information Security Officer at Bloomin' Brands, Inc. from 2014 to 2021. During their tenure at Bloomin' Brands, Chris was responsible for implementing an industry-leading Global Information Security and Compliance Program. Prior to that, they worked as the Global Chief Information Security Officer at Office Depot | Office Max, where they oversaw Cyber Security Operations and risk management for the company's global business portfolio. Chris's expertise lies in developing strategic security programs, implementing industry standards, and managing security operations centers.

Chris Bitner has a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Management Information Systems and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Phoenix. They also have an Associate of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from Fullerton College. Additionally, Chris has obtained several certifications, including Certified Change Practitioner from Prosci in 2023, Certified Information Security Manager® (CISM) from ISACA in 2014, Certified Homeland Security III from The American College of Forensic Examiners Institute (ACFEI) in 2007, Certified Computer Forensic Technician from LC Technical Institute in 2002, and Certified Advanced Interview and Interrogation from Wicklander-Zulawski & Associates in 2000.
