Alejandro Varela has a diverse range of work experience in various technology roles. From 2023 onwards, they worked at Southern Code as a Senior Frontend Developer, where they led frontend development projects and provided technical guidance to the development team. Alejandro also designed scalable and maintainable frontend architectures using React and Next.js.
Before that, from 2022 to 2023, Alejandro was a DevOps Engineer at ttt Networking Inc., where they led the migration of the company's stack to containers and Kubernetes. Alejandro also designed the deployment workflow and architecture for the Kubernetes clusters. Additionally, they worked as a Full Stack Developer, handling a programmatic advertising project for a US client. Alejandro utilized technologies like Typescript, React, MySql, Mongo DB, Kafka, Next, and Nest.
From 2020 to 2022, Alejandro worked at Transportes Especiales Altagama as a Software Developer. Alejandro participated in the structural design of technology stacks, deployed web application servers and SQL databases, and implemented REST APIs for database queries.
Alejandro Varela completed their education from 2019 to 2024. Alejandro attended Universidad ICESI from 2020 to 2024 and obtained a degree in Telematics Engineering. During their time at the university, Alejandro focused on various subjects such as Modeling, Data Warehousing, Database Administration, DevOps, and Web-Full-Stack Development.
In addition to their degree, Alejandro also pursued several certifications to enhance their skills. In September 2020, they completed the "Artificial Intelligence For Creators" course at LCC International University in Lithuania. In June 2020, they obtained a certificate in "Php Developer" from Edutin Academy. Prior to that, in December 2019, Alejandro completed the "Conceptualization Of C++" course at the Servicio Nacional de Aprendizaje (SENA).
Furthermore, Alejandro pursued additional certifications related to server administration and DevOps. In August 2022, they completed the "Server Administration and DevOps - Kubernetes Course" at Platzi, followed by the "Server Administration and DevOps - Jenkins Course" in October 2022, also at Platzi. Lastly, in January 2023, Alejandro obtained the "AWS Technical Essentials" certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS).
