Robert Root

Robert Root is an experienced financial executive currently serving as an Operating Partner at Southfield Capital since April 2023 and as a Board Member at Protos Security since September 2021. Previously, Robert held the position of VP of Transformation at Trident Seafoods from May 2022 to March 2023 and spent nearly eight years at Microsoft in various senior finance roles, ultimately as Sr Director of Customer Lifetime Value. Robert's extensive background at Procter & Gamble includes leadership positions such as CFO of the Philippines, Associate Director of Finance for Canada, and other strategic finance roles across various product categories. Robert holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance from the University of Manitoba and earned a CMA designation from the Institute of Management Accountants in 2012.
