David McDonald

David McDonald is an experienced quality management professional with a career spanning over two decades, primarily with Southwire Company since July 2003. David has held various leadership roles, including Quality Manager and Director of Global Quality, where responsibilities involved overseeing corporate-wide quality management efforts. Prior roles include Technical Director-QA and Operations Manager at the Heflin Plant, focusing on quality operations and production management within Energy Manufacturing. Prior to Southwire, David worked as a Project Manager/Advisory Consultant at MAPICS, Inc. and as a Senior Consultant at Pivotpoint, Inc., specializing in ERP implementation for mid-sized manufacturing clients. David holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Auburn University and a Master’s degree in Engineering Technology with a concentration in Quality Assurance from Southern Polytechnic State University.
