James Merriott is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in automation and project management. Currently serving as Engineering Manager at Southwire Company since July 2023, James previously held the position of Industrial Automation at Realtime Apps from November 2020 to July 2023. Prior roles at Imerys included Automation Project Engineer and Process Automation Engineer from 2014 to 2019, as well as ICA Development Engineer and Process Technician from 2005 to 2013. Earlier in their career, James worked as a Laboratory Technician focused on minerals property testing. Academically, James earned a BA Hons in Computing and IT Practice from The Open University, complemented by an Advanced AVCE in Science and NVQ Level 3 in Laboratory Activities from Plymouth College of Further Education.
