Ramiro Ortiz

Ramiro Ortiz, MBA, is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in financial management and controllership across various industries. Currently serving as Regional Financial Controller for Southwire Company since May 2021, Ramiro oversees accounting, finance, manufacturing, and FP&A operations for the Tools and Equipment division, generating $6 billion in annual sales. Previously, Ramiro held multiple senior management positions at SABIC from 2007 to 2019, including leading a North America team of 20 in financial and accounting reporting for a $7 billion enterprise and managing statutory compliance for the Americas. Ramiro's career began at General Electric, where important roles in finance management spanned over 13 years, supporting operations across Mexico in plastics and railroad business sectors. Ramiro's educational background includes an MBA from Universidad Iberoamericana and an Accounting degree from Universidad Autónoma de Coahuila, complemented by a diploma from Harvard University Extension School in business administration and management.
