John Seaman

John Seaman is a medical device cybersecurity leader focused on developing and sustaining cyber risk management programs tailored for connected medical device manufacturers. They have successfully built two programs from scratch and have extensive experience integrating cybersecurity into ISO 14971 and ISO 13485 systems for leading manufacturers of FDA Class II medical devices. Currently serving as Director of Product Security at SOVATO, John previously held significant roles at Illumina and Intuitive Surgical, where they led initiatives to meet FDA and international regulatory cybersecurity requirements. Their technical background includes systems engineering and project management at Merrill Lynch Japan and Sutter Health, contributing to a strong foundation in both cybersecurity and infrastructure development.
