Jan Camenisch

Jan Camenisch serves as the Chief Technology Officer and VP of Research & Crypto at DFINITY since September 2018. In addition, Jan holds a position as a Technical Governance Board Member at the Sovrin Foundation from April 2017 to the present. Prior experience includes over 19 years at IBM Research as a Principal Research Staff Member and a role as a research assistant professor at Aarhus University. Academic background includes a PhD in Computer Science with a focus on Cryptography and a Master of Architecture in Electrical Engineering, both from ETH Zürich. Early career experience includes working as an electrical engineer at Martignoni Electronics from 1989 to 1993.
