Bernice Chan

Bernice Chan is an experienced energy and water sector professional currently serving as the Director of Power & Water and Director of Energy Transition at S&P Global since September 2023. Prior to this role, Bernice held the position of Senior Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company from November 2018 to August 2023, and served as Senior Planning Lead at the Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO) from January 2015 until the merger with Ontario Power Authority in 2015, where Bernice worked as a Planner from 2009 to 2014. Additional experience includes roles as an Energy Practice's Financial & Strategic Advisory Analyst at Navigant, a Mining Water Resources Management Analyst at SNC Lavalin Inc., and an Energy Planning Analyst at Ontario Power Authority, complemented by an initial position as Water & Waste Water Planning Analyst for the City of Hamilton. Bernice holds education credentials from the University of Waterloo, the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management, and Nanyang Technological University Singapore.
