Daniel Yergin

Daniel Yergin is a prominent energy expert currently serving as Vice Chairman at S&P Global since March 2022 and Chairman at CERAWeek, which Daniel founded in 1983. Yergin holds the position of Vice Chairman at IHS following the acquisition of CERA in 2004 and the merger with Markit in 2016. Yergin is an active member of several prestigious organizations, including the Council on Foreign Relations, The Brookings Institution, and the National Petroleum Council. Additionally, Yergin is involved with the U.S.-Russia Business Council and serves on the board of the Center on Global Energy Policy and the MIT Energy Initiative. Yergin holds a PhD from the University of Cambridge and a Bachelor's degree from Yale University.
