Brian Groft has extensive experience in the defense and security industry. Brian worked as a Strategic Growth Manager at Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc, where they were responsible for developing strategies to increase revenue in DOD and DHS programs. Brian successfully led the capture effort for a contract valued at over $185M, the largest in the company's history.
Prior to that, Groft served as a Director of DHS Programs at Engility Corporation, where they directed multiple programs delivering system engineering, test and evaluation, and IT support to DNDO, TSA, and other DHS components. Brian brought innovative solutions to the customer and delivered over $22M in annual revenue.
Groft also worked as a Deputy Program Manager at TASC, Inc., overseeing the support of DTRA counter WMD efforts. Brian managed a team of engineers and consultants and provided support for organizational and operational transformation.
Before transitioning to civilian roles, Groft served in the US Army as the Deputy Director of the US Army Nuclear and Combating WMD Agency. Brian led the agency's daily functions and transitioned it into a Combating WMD Field Operating Agency.
Additionally, Groft held various roles at DTRA, including Deputy Director of Systems Engineering and Deputy and Acting Chief of the Operational Applications Division. Brian was credited with establishing the Reachback capability and the Integrated Weapons of Mass Destruction Toolset.
Earlier in their career, Groft worked as a Professor of Military Science at Georgia State University and as a Company Commander in the Army. Brian began their career as a Cadet at B-4.

Brian Groft attended JP McCaskey High School from 1974 to 1977. Brian then pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Physics from the United States Military Academy at West Point, graduating in 1981. Continuing their education, they obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Physics from the University of Virginia from 1988 to 1990. In 2001 to 2002, they attended the National Defense University - ICAF and earned an MS degree in National Resource Strategy.
