David Brown is an accomplished systems engineer with extensive experience in military combat systems and weapons. Since October 2019, David has been working at Systems Planning & Analysis as part of SPA Australia. Previously, David served at Capability Systems Centre as a Systems Engineer and Industry Fellow specializing in submarine and warship combat systems from February 2019 to October 2019. An extensive career with the Royal Australian Navy from January 1995 to February 2019 included the role of Weapons Electrical Engineering Officer, focusing on submarines and surface combatants. Additionally, David held the position of Deputy Project Manager for the AUS/USA Armaments Cooperative Project at Naval Sea Systems Command from January 2014 to January 2017. Academically, David holds multiple degrees from UNSW Canberra, including a Master of Systems Engineering and a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Electrical Engineering, along with specialized training in Defence Capability Development and Acquisition.
