James Dorsett has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. James most recently worked as a Data Analyst at MCR, LLC starting in July 2021. Prior to that, they were a Staff Writer (Sports Analytics) at SB Nation - Hogs Haven from 2013 onwards. In this role, they conducted data analysis and prepared analyses and articles on the Washington Redskins and general NFL topics. James utilized various proprietary and public data sources and statistics for their work. Before that, James worked at SAIC as an Associate Buyer from 2008 to 2013. In this role, they analyzed pricing structures and contracts to determine the best values for customers and negotiated and carried out contracts for the government and commercial sectors. James completed purchasing of various items including IT equipment, audiovisual equipment, aviation parts, consulting services, and labor to support projects.

Following that, from 2005 to 2008, they attended the University of Maryland - Robert H. Smith School of Business, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Logistics, Transportation, and Supply Chain Management. In 2018, they enrolled at Villanova University, where they completed their Master of Science degree in Analytics in 2019. Additionally, James obtained a certification in Football Data Analytics from Sports Management Worldwide in May 2020.
