Jay Sim

Jay Sim has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Jay started their career as a Science Teacher/Manager at Sasang Global Academy, where they served as the primary science teacher and managed the English-speaking faculty. Jay then worked as a Building Manager at Virginia Tech Graduate School, where they were responsible for administrative duties and ensured conference rooms were well-maintained. Jay then pursued a graduate degree at Virginia Tech College of Engineering as a Graduate Student. Following this, they joined Stantec as a Water Resources EIT, where they worked until 2023. Currently, Jay is a Data Scientist at Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. Jay'sexperience includes leading teams, organizing meetings, and providing excellent customer service.

Jay Sim received their Master's degree in Civil Engineering from Virginia Tech from 2017 to 2019. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences with a minor in Chemistry from Virginia Commonwealth University from 2005 to 2007.

Additionally, Jay Sim has obtained several certifications, including the Envision Sustainability Professional certification from the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure, as well as certifications from the American Water Works Association and the Water Environment Federation, specifically the VA AWWA/VWEA certification and the Virginia Water Environment Association certification.
